Tales of Amber is a warm, powdery and sensual Amber Extrait, created around the purity of New Zealand ambergris. The scent of scorched earth, sun-drenched resins and skin warmed by minerals is perfectly captured here. With amber-woody notes and an oriental depth, it exudes sensuality, with an abundance of labdanum – golden, resinous and unforgettable.

Tales of Amber is a modern ambergris fragrance that reinterprets the elemental beauty of nature. This Extrait de Parfum, a blend of rare New Zealand ambergris and the iconic De Laire Amber 83 accord – a rich combination of labdanum and vanillin – captures a balsamic warmth, a texturally rich contrast and a sensual depth.
At its heart, Australian agarwood, orange blossom and iris reveal a floral softness against a sun-drenched, earthy and mineral base. Notes of cinnamon and oud weave their way through the composition, adding a spicy, resinous layer to the amber-woody heart.
Tales of Amber, created by Dimitri Weber, founder of Goldfield & Banks, in collaboration with the French perfumer Suzy Le Helley, strikes a balance between innovation and tradition, drawing inspiration from the mystery of the ocean and the wild plants of Australia. As the fragrance unfolds, the gourmand glow of Amber 83 intensifies – its creamy sweetness contrasts with the animalic, oceanic intrigue of ambergris.

Goldfield & Banks was founded in the Sydney area by the Franco-Belgian Dimitri Weber.
The fragrances pay tribute to the richness of Australia and to Joseph Banks, the first Australian naturalist.
They are suitable for both men and women.
Each fragrance is crafted using rare extracts from the Australian wilderness, such as Australian sandalwood, Boronia, Australian rock mosses, blue-grey cypresses and so on. Furthermore, this is the first Australian luxury fragrance brand to rival French quality.
Some of the fragrances from the “Native Collection” are: Southern Bloom, Wood Infusion, Pacific Rock Moss, Desert Rosewood, Bohemian Lime, Sunset Hour and Ingenious Ginger.
Silky Woods, Purple Suede and Island Lush are fragrances from the “Botanical Series”.
